    Hi all,

Been looking around WHM and not found out how to do this.

I have three subdomains under my main domain that are mirrors of other sites. These three subdomains mirror apache, centos and phpclass.org and so are updated all the time, but contain a lot of files.

for me backing these up is pointless as they always change and i can simply rsync to their servers again. How, if possible, do i prevent a backup being created of a cerain directory? As i want everything else to be backed up including my main domain but not the mirrored files.

Tried looking backup config, but can only select particular users, and since they are subdomains they don't have their own use account.

    Thanks

    Harry

At this time, you cannot enable/disable the backup of individual directories - only specific users. However, you can create subdomains as completely separate cPanel accounts if you desire. It's the same procedure as creating an account with a domain. However, instead of entering a domain, you can enter a subdomain as the "domain" for the account.

Guess that is the root i will have to take.

I tried to use something out of cpgs ".cpbackupskip" but no luck. Interesting how that works for cpgs setup but not rest of system.

Or does this not work and it's just my imagination.

    Thanks for reply
