Hi,

We’ve tried to transfer an account from a remote server (Another hosting company) to our server.

We’ve used the new Transfer Tool interface from whm 11.44 to initialise the transfer. So far, everything was going great until we fell into an endless loop...
We get this nonstop:
Code:
Waiting for backup to start...Done
Checking remote server for backups...cPanel Login Failed: HTTP/1.0 900 NET OR SSL ERROR
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/getremotecpmove 14824: open_tcp_connection: failed `onlinecasinocanada.ca', 2083 (Connection timed out)
So we’ve tried to pause the transfer and now the process stays at “Pausing”.

Finally, I’ve restarted the cPanel service in SSH, kill all process with the word transfer in them… yet the problem still persist….
Anyone has an idea on how to stop the transfer?

Hello :)

Case 106025 is open to address the ability to kill a paused transfer, but there is currently no time frame available on when such a feature might become available. Do you have root access to the source server, or are you using the "Copy an Account From Another Server With an Account Password" option?

Thank you.

Hi Michael,

I do have root access, but the transfert was made with the Transfer Tools in WHM 11.44 (Nice interface btw :D) Using the User authentification to initiate the transfer.

I see that this morning the transfer is now marked as failed, so I imaged that the backup tried a X amount of time before failling.

A Kill switch would be a good future option!

Thank you for your reply.

We have added the ability to abort a in progress transfer with case 106025.

This functionality is currently scheduled to be published in the next minor release (11.44.2) and the next major release (11.46.0).

As 11.46.0 is currently scheduled to be published before then 11.44.2, is likely that 11.46.0 will available before the 11.44.2 maintenance release.

When an 11.46 build becomes available with this case, the change log will be here:
http://documentation.cpanel.net/display/ALD/11.46+Change+Log

When an 11.44 build becomes available with this case, the change log will be here:
