Stopping [email protected] email from happening

How can i can stop mail from being sent by root:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

[email protected]
root cannot accept local mail deliveries



in Home / Server Contacts /Edit System Mail Preferences
The system does not currently forward mail for “root”.

Hello!

Generally, we don't recommend disabling the root email notifications because you can miss out on the essential systems and security information that may require your attention. For this reason, there isn't an easy way to completely disable root emails through the cPanel/WHM interface.

I would recommend configuring a valid email address to receive the root notifications within WHM > Edit System Mail preferences to work around the "root cannot accept local mail deliveries" error.

With that said, you can disable many of the events that would trigger these notifications to be sent. For example, you can disable services from being monitored in the Service Manager in WHM if you don't use the service, or disable email notifications for certain events through the Contact Manager in WHM.
