Stopping the /~username from working...

    In option 6 for /scripts/buildapache/ I do bandwith leech protection? Is this correct? Or is there another way to buildapache with this module?

    ssh root

    cd /usr/local/apache/conf

    cp httpd.conf httpd.conf_backup

    edit httpd.conf

    locate the section below and edit.

    if you stuff up and apache won't fire, just

    cp httpd.conf_backup httpd.conf


    # UserDir: The name of the directory which is appended onto a user's home
    # directory if a ~user request is received.
    #
    <IfModule mod_userdir.c>
    UserDir public_html
    UserDir disabled
    UserDir enable usernameofnewaccountsyouwanttoworkhere
    </IfModule>
