I got this email today from :

    Mail System Internal Data [MAILER-DAEMON@srv1.annualhost.com]

Subject: DON'T DELETE THIS MESSAGE -- FOLDER INTERNAL DATA

    Message:

This text is part of the internal format of your mail folder, and is not a real message. It is created automatically by the mail system software. If deleted, important folder data will be lost, and it will be re-created with the data reset to initial values.

Has anyone ever gotten this message from their server? What does it mean?

    Thanks,

    Nathan

    I think it's like this :

When you first check your email with the imap protocol it generates that message but you don't see it.
When you switch to pop3 that mail will be downloaded.

funny thing is, is that I am not using imap for any of my sites.

I assume it is safe to delete anyway.

    Thanks for the reply ;)

    I just realized something...

I was using webmail earlier. Webmail uses IMAP...

Now I can't get back into webmail on that domain with any account...
