    Hi,
A sript is trying to send out mail and it's getting this error.

    ---------------------------
    1 webmaster@my email.com R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp:
SMTP error from remote mailer after RCPT TO::
    host mydomain.com [my.ip.address.1]: 550-Verification
    failed for \n550-unrouteable
mail domain "one.servername.com"\n550 Sender verify failed

I replaced all of the domains above or privacy issues.

The script is CGI and is using sendmail. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

are the mails aimed locally or to an external server ? does this error occur when you send mail via the 'mail -v' command ?

The script is basically sending out a confirmation email for when someone signs up so it would be going out to external servers. What do you mean by mail -v?

I remember something like this happening before and I typed in a command something like

    exim -rf

. Something like that. I can't remember what the 2 letters were. I remember there was some sort of list of ip's and domains that if in that list, would not allow you to email them.

Thanks for helping me. Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

To add on, Here's what I've tried...

    1. Add A entry to host name (already there but did it again)
    2. Created a seperate zone file for the host name.
    3. Reinstalled Exim
    4. No check in "prevent users as nobody"
    5. Check in and check out of "Verify the existance of email senders"
    6. Everything else I could think of.

Anybody know how to fix it? I saw one post where the person posted the same problem then came back to the forum and posted that he fixed it but did not let us know what he did. Frustraiting.

Not sure if it makes a difference but this is a Fedora box.

    Thanks!

    More Info:
My client, using his own ISP email account is having now problem. He gets the email just fine without errors. However, I do not receive the email. I am on a different cpanel server in a different datacenter.

The strange thing is, I have the same software installed on another clients server which is at the same datacenter as the server in question but I am able to receive the email that comes from this other server generated be the same software.

What could cause this to happen. In short, there are 2 servers at the same datacenter with the exact same specs except one is RedHat and one is Fedora. I receive emails generated by the script through sendmail from the RedHat box but not from The Fedora box.

    Any ideas? Please help.

    Thanks in advance!
