I set up a new SSL certificate through WHM and for some reason the error "The connection to www.domain.com has terminated unexpectedly. Some data may not have been transferred." is coming up when accessing the site under ssl. I have other sites that work fine on the server and I compared the settigns in the httpd.conf and they match up correctly. I've also tried accessing just a regular image on the site and the same error came up. I've tried restarting ssl and that didn't work either. The domain is pointing to my server, there is no .htaccess script in any of the directories and the site has it's own IP address.

Here is the message that is appearing the SSL log for the site:

Init: Configuring server www.domain.com:443 for SSL protocol.

Does anybody know how to get rid of this message and get the site to load?

Is Apache running on port 443? There should be a line in your httpd.conf file for Listen 443. Do you have any firewall installed on the server that is preventing access to port 443?

Thanks for your reply. I am able to connect to other sites on the server via SSL (under port 443) so it's weird this site isn't working. I compared the VirtualHost for SSL for this site with another oen that works ont he server and everything matches up correctly.

It's for www.domain.com. I have another domain on the server with the www. and that one works OK. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd check to make sure that you're using the correct .cert and .key files for this domain... As in paste in the correct contents into the files again.

    otherwise, remove it and reinstall.
