Strange problem with Quota

Hello all
i am facing a strange problem with quotas
when i create a new account i found that the used quotas is 13692
and the used is -13642
this is for an account of 50 Mb
i tired ./scripts/fixquotas but invain


any ideas about that?

Same issue with my server.
the scinario i have it.
my reseller account sold full his disk quota and i allowed him overselling.

no clue what happend.

I have the same problem. I created an account last night set to 50mb and it automatically shows 61mb yet there are no files on the account yet.

Anyone ever seen this before?

/scripts/fixquotas/ does not help.

check the ownerships of files on the server.

Command:
find / -user cpusername

Sometimes cpanel links files to new users for no apparent reason locate the offending files and chown them to their correct user

This usually happens when you had terminated an account, but some files are still owned by that user id and that hasn't been removed. So when you create a new account, it takes over the previous user's userid, and thus started showing diskspace used.

To fix this:

find / -user username > /home/username.txt

Replace username with the actual username

To read the file:

pico /home/username.txt

Check through the listing and find any files that shouldn't be there.
