    Hi,

When I login via ssh to my server I get the following error :

/tmp/RswNYvql: No such file or directory

further my /tmp folder seems to be empty which is resulting in mySQL errors as the mysql.sock file is missing. Can some one help to understand what does this message means and how this problem could resolve.

    try:

    /scripts/securetmp
    /etc/init.d/mysql restart

    then:

    mysql

if it shows the connection ID and mysql server version then it's working.

    Go on, have a guess
You may have to manually create the mysql socket file with:

    ln -s /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock /tmp/

    Then start mysql.
