    Hello,

One of my customers would like to stream audio in WMA and also MP3. Now my question is, is this possible?

I know that for mp3 I can use icecast on the server, so that shouldn't be a problem. But is there any streaming-server for Windows media??????

    Please let me know.
    thanks

    Stepan

As far as i know, to stream windows media files, you need a windows server ( not the web edition ). And of course to have your offer windows servers to clients you must have the correct licensing, including 2 on staff MCSE's. I've been there, done that, got the tshirt.

As for streaming MP3's, both shoutcast and icecast should do you well. Just keep in mind you need a way to track the bandwidth of both of these.
