I have installed stunnel in /opt/stunnel. I did my own install as to not interfere with the stunnel used by cpanel as I need it to secure mysql traffic.

Anyway, the stunnel process that I start stops once per day. I am not 100% sure, but it seems that it might stop each morning after the cpanel update check is run. I guess I could setup a cron job to have stunnel start every day at 9:30am or something, but that seems like a bandaid.

I would like to know why it stops and how to keep it running. Maybe even a way to detect the process has stopped so I can have it restart automatically. Ultimately, it would be best to stop it from failing.

I run a similiar setup on server OSX Xserves that I manage (minus cpanel of course) and stunnel runs continously no problem so I am thinking it is something with cpanel.

    Cpanel details:
    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-R113
    Fedora i686 - WHM X v3.1.0
