My host has sort of mis-understood a problem i had and has gone ahead and disabled stunnel. I dont want to be rude and ask then to re-enable it because it took them ages to disable it properly.

I have ran /etc/init.d/cpanel restart to try and get it working again but im getting this error:

Stopping cPanel ssl services: execvp: Permission denied
    [FAILED]

how do i re-enable stunnel so it will start?

    thanks

Ok i can now confirm that my host changed a file in the following location:

    /usr/local/cpanel/etc/init/

I also know that they have editted some code to disable the stunnel service from starting up when the server/cpanel is started up or restarted etc. Also, in this folder all the files are greeny/yellow to show that they are applications, however, startstunnel and stopstunnel are just grey which idicated they are normal files, if this names any difference?

    Go on, have a guess
You might have luck by forcing an update:

    /scripts/upcp --force

    To fix what they've broken.

Ive tried that with no luck.

They havent actually broke anything, they have actually altered coding (in a file within that directory) to disable /cpanel and /whm from working as a login. What im trying to do is re-enable it, by changing this code bk.
