    HI
I have purchased a dedicated server a while ago with no problems but I have now got email problems I have searched the forum for a fix and maybe found it which is
    cd /etc/scripts
    /.updateuserdomains
    /.mailperm

or something similar but I can find it again later but the stupid question is where or how do I access to do the fix I know it is ssh but I can only seem to access ssh from domains I have on the server and not sure how to access the one for the main server. any help will be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Gareth

By default, you can SSH to your main server IP and log in as the user "root" and your root password.

It is possible that root SSH has been disabled (by yourself), in which case you should SSH in as another user that has been added to the wheel group. Once in, you can "su ~" to swicth to the root user.

I hope this makes sense ;)

    Hi
thanks for the post just wondering if I am doing this right I have logged in to ssh/telnet then logged in to the server with user and pass it does say something is not in knownhosts but when I give password it logs in then it gives me
    root@server1 [~]#
    then I can start
    Is this right so far.
and if so what would be the commands for this

Run the following scripts from cd /etc/scripts section from the shell:

    ./updateuserdomains
    ./mailperm

If you don't know I,ll open another thread I have a lot to learn but can't seem to find any basic tutorials for this kind of thing it's mainly just documentations of cpanel and webhost manager.
    Thank You
    Gareth
