    Hi all,

I just updated my server from the default RH7.1 kernal to the newest kernal, but I still cannot get quota\'s to work.

    Quotacheck gives me this
    [quote:65303febdf]
    root@insomnia [/etc]# /sbin/quotacheck -av
quotacheck: Can\'t find filesystem to check or filesystem not mounted with quota option.
    [/quote:65303febdf]

    /scripts/initquotas gives this
    [quote:65303febdf]
    root@insomnia [/etc]# /scripts/initquotas
    Quotas are now on
Using new and old quota support
    [/quote:65303febdf]

    /scripts/fixquotas gives this
    [quote:65303febdf]
    root@insomnia [/etc]# /scripts/fixquotas
    Quotas are now on
Using new and old quota support
    No filesystems with quota detected.
Resetting quota for theschu to 20 Meg....Done
    No filesystems with quota detected.
Resetting quota for starkey to 50 Meg....Done
    .................
    [/quote:65303febdf]

/etc/fstab is this (and I was setup with everything mounted as / instead of /home /var etc :/)
    [quote:65303febdf]
    LABEL=/ / ext2 defaults 1 1
    LABEL=/boot /boot ext2 defaults 1 2
    /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner 0 0
    none /proc proc defaults 0 0
    none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
    /dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0
    [/quote:65303febdf]

    Any ideas?

Quotas will never work unless you have a seperate /home partition. Your paritioning scheme is not support. Whoever installed your cpanel should have notified you of this before the install..

When I initially ordered it, I did ask for it to be set up with each partition for
    /etc
    /home
    /var
    /usr
    etc
    but they didn\'t
then when I asked them why not, they said it was a non-standard install and wanted $180 an hour :/
