Sub-Domain on different IP

    Can a sub-domain be put on a different IP that the main site, if so how?

    Create the subdomain as an account of it's own using WHM and you can do whatever you want with it.

    Thanks it never even dawned on me that I could do wthat with a sub-domains... cool.

    actually, alls you need to do is create a subdomain via CPanel and then edit the dns via WHM...have the A record for the subdomain point to the new ip. And, verify in the httpd.conf that the subdomain is listed under that ip. I'm not aware of any issues doing it this way but also haven't gotten into the pros or cons of one way vs. another.
