Hello,

Can someone tell me the pros vs. cons of this...

yourdomain.com/blog

blog.yourdomain.com

What advantages/disadvantages does setting up a subdomain give you.

Thanks

Well i find it more natural to type a subdomain than a folder, also if you move the folder or update the site you can update the subdomain and not lose customers through incorect bookmarks and so on.

Hello,

The advantage of setting up a subdomain is that you can access particular pages which you have placed to different folder. Means if you have one department like sales and you have made separate webpage’s for them then, you can access that site through your domain using sub domain like this http://sales.domainname.com/

The disadvantage of the subdomain is that if you have install SSL on your domain at that time you can access site via secure URL liked https://domainame.com/ but you can not access your subdomian site via secure URL like https://sales.domianame.com/
