I have a testing domain that was a subdomain of an account.

account domain = account.com
testing domain = test.account.com
client-fqdn.org = client chosen Live Domain name.

testing domain was it's own account on WHM . Now the work is done and the client is finished and has chosen their FQDN, I have updated the account to have their FQDN as the primary domain on the account.

BUT

I want to retain the testing subdomain (test.account.com) to point to the same account as the cleint chosen FQDN. But WHM says to me:

> There was an error when the system attempted to create the alias. (XID kvgkft) The domain “test.account.com” may not be created by “client_name” because “account.com” is already owned by another user.

How Do I work around this problem? I do not want the test.account.com to simply redirect to the client-fqdn.org but I want it to stay on that subdomain .

Previously this process has been simple and other accounts on this server have the FQDN as a valid Domain in the CPanel "domains" area, but this isn't possible at the moment for some reason (I forget why, but there was a CPanel error so I tried approaching the problem from the other direction by setting the FQDN as the main account address and then adding the subdomain as the account alias.
