I am setting up subdomains, and have a question. Currently, when cPanel sets up subdomains, they all point to folders directly under my public_html folder, such as:

    public_html\sub1
    \sub2
    \etc.

Is it possible, using cPanel, for the subdomains to point to folders nested under public_html, such as:

    public_html\clients\sub1
    \clients\sub2
    \clients\etc

I have a dedicated server (LAMPS) so I can make config changes if that is what it takes to allow this to happen

    Thanks.

    Go on, have a guess
The way we do it is to set it up the cPanel way then go and edit /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and change the DocumentRoot for the subdomains VirtualHost container.

Is there a way to automate this so you don't have to edit httpd.conf for every single subdomain created?
