i noticed that cpanel automatically generates a folder for a new subdomain under the public_html

is it possible to configure the settings in such a way that the folder is generated elsewhere?

eg - i want to generate user.domain.com whereby the folder is in public_html/others/user instead of public_html/user

    thanks

You go into /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and then edit the DocumentRoot for your subdomains VirtualHost container
