subdomain mail error

    hi. i have setup new subdomain and all is working well. however, when i try to send mail or user needs to register for new account i get this message:

    Code:
    Cannot connect to mail server
    http://domain.com>http://subdomain.domain.com

    in outlook express. error message is:

    Code:
    The host 'mail.subdomain.domain.org' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail.subdomain.domain.org', Server: 'mail.subdomain.domain.org', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
    i have set mail account in cpanel and in outlook express. what else do i need to do? all my other domain are working but this is the first subdomain i have added. many thanks

    cPanel: V11.11.0
    whm: 11.2.0

    for subdomains they use the same mail settings (smtp and pop3 servers) as their parent domain:

    eg:
    for domain.com
    pop3 mail.domain.com (port 110)
    smtp mail.domain.com (port 25)

    for subdomain.domain.com
    pop3 mail.domain.com (port 110)
    smtp mail.domain.com (port 25)
