    I added a subdomain to a site with a modified .htaccess file. but for some reason it won't let me goto the subdomain...

    I've tried this which worked
    Code:
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^blog.sitename.com$ [OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.blog.sitename.com$
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://sitename.com/blog/$1 [R=301,L]
    I've tried removing the htaccess (no luck) restarting apache.
    I tried adding a subdomain to another domain with success...

    The DNS is resolving correctly but instead of pulling

    /home/sitename/public_html/blog
    it pulls
    /home/sitename/public_html/

    I've checked the httpd.conf and found that it
    Code:
    <VirtualHost 00.00.00.00>
    ServerAlias www.blog.sitename.com
    ServerAdmin webmaster@blog.sitename.com
    DocumentRoot /home/sitenam/public_html/blog
    BytesLog domlogs/blog.sitename.com-bytes_log
    ServerName blog.sitename.com

    <IfModule mod_userdir.c>
      Userdir disabled
      Userdir enabled remodel
    </IfModule>

    <IfModule mod_php4.c>
      php_admin_value open_basedir "/home/sitenam:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp"
    </IfModule>
    <IfModule mod_php5.c>
      php_admin_value open_basedir "/home/sitenam:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp"
    </IfModule>

    User remodel
    Group remodel
    CustomLog /usr/local/apache/domlogs/blog.sitename.com combined
    ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /home/remodel/public_html/blog/cgi-bin/
    </VirtualHost>
    Is there something else I can do? BTW the site has an SSL certificate which will NOT be used for the subdomain..

    Thanks!
