Whenever I make a subdomain and try to make it redirect to a folder it causes a loop. Should it do that? It causes it to loop because it puts a .htaccess file in there and makes it the same url as the folder. Is there anyway to fix this?

You shouldn't use redirects with subdomains unless you want the subdomain to redirect to another website or folder. If you remove the redirect your subdomain will work properly.

So if I make a folder called test. Then I make a subdomain called test.mydomain.com. When I type in test.mydomain.com it should go to the /test folder? I don't need to add a subdomain?

If that is correct then what do I do if the subdomain and the folder are not the same?
