    Hello,

I am having issue with a subdomain which is redirecting to sub folder i.e i have an domain xyz.com and i have created a subdomain abc.xyz.com from CPanel (VPS hosting server) (This created a folder abc under public_html directory).

I am able to ping the subdomain abc.xyz.com which is pointing to same IP of parent domain and i have uploaded a webpages to this subfolder ( I have separate website in public_html and different web pages in subfolder /abc)

Now when i am going to access the subdomain abc.xyz.com it is redirected to xyz.com/abc and i want /abc to be accessible from subdomain only (abc.xyz.com) and it should not be redirected to xyz.com/abc

Please help me out on this.

    Hello,

Yes, we are using .htaccess in public_html folder of xyz.com. But i tried by removing this .htaccess from public_html folder but still result was same. Is this take time to reflect the changes after removing the .htaccess ?

    Hello,

You means to say that this issue seems to be from .htaccess rather than server side.
Please correct me so that i could proceed further accordingly.

No, I was simply answering your question by stating that removing a .htaccess file would have an immediate effect provided you cleared your browser cache.

    Thank you.

I suggest reporting this issue to your web hosting provider so they can take a closer look. It's likely something that you will find difficult to troubleshoot without root access to the server.

    Thank you.
