    Hello,

    I need to setup a subdomain that redirects to another domain.

    Example:

    domains.mydomain.com --> 48854.myorderbox.com

    i created the subdomain and added the redirection, it works, but it shows 48854.myorderbox.com on the URL and not domains.mydomain.com

    I added a CNAME but it is not working too.

    I have tryed this on a H-Sphere account that i have and the CNAME works properly, so how can i setup this in cpanel?

    Thanks.

    ahh, i assume you're using directi then...

    You only need the CNAME in your DNS... so delete the subdomain and the redirection, that's your problem. The CNAMe is easily setup manually in your dns... so use the DNS Zone editor in WHM.

    You just need the CNAME on your side... then you need to login to your account there and tell them the subdomain/domain you want to use.

    The problem was i was not adding the . at the end of the domain

    example: 465454.myorderbox.com.

    It works now.

    ahh yep... if you don't put the ending period, it assumes that it still has to append the domain name that the zone is for to the end.

    www

    and

    www.domain.com.

    are the same in a dns zone (For anyone else looking for this)
