Subdomain redirects not working

    Hello,

    I have proxy subdomain's turned off. I've created subdomains for the various cpanel services and redirect them to the proper port. For example, under redirects in cpanel, I have this:

    Code:
    webmail.example.com  /  https://www.example.com:2096/  permanent
    
    In cpanel, under subdomains, I have this:
    Code:
    webmail.example.com  /public_html/webmail https://www.example.com:2096/
    
    I had these subdomains and redirects setup for all the various services, webmail, webdisk, whm, cpanel, etc. The worked just fine. Yesterday, I tried going to cpanel.example.com and noticed it wasn't working anymore. None of them are working now. I've cleared my browser cache, but every time I try going to something like http://webmail.example.com or https://webmail.example.com, I get the following error in Chrome:

    ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
    
    If I click on advanced, I see this:

    The server at webmail.example.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chromefrom accessing the network.

    (the ... means there's more, I'm just not typing it).

    Does anyone know what might be going on and how I can fix this without having to turn proxy subdomain redirects back on? Thank you.

    So I deleted all the subdomains and I've deleted all the redirects in cpanel. Under subdomains, I create a subdomain named cpanel

    Under Redirects, I set a permanent redirect. For http://(www.)? I select cpanel.example.com
    For /, I leave it blank. For Redirects to, I put in https://www.example.com:2083/ I select Do not redirect www and I also have Wildcard redirect unselected. I hit okay. Then I try going to http://cpanel.example.com, same error message about the DNS stuff. I try going to example.com, same error message. I try going to Index of / and it shows me the directory listing of public_html/cpanel If I try going to example.com, it takes me to example.com. Why is this not working? And why is cPanel registering the www stuff when I specifically tell it not to? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is frustrating. Thank you.

    Is there away to reset the Apache config files to their default states?

    Could you verify if that subdomain resolves to the same IP address assigned to the account in Web Host Manager?

    I can verify. Could you please tell me how? I setup the subdomains in cPanel and point them to my domain. I think I might have discovered the problem. Some of the subdomains appear to work when I go to the http version, not the https.

    If the Let's Encrypt plugin gets released soon, I can just re-enable proxy subdomain redirects and not have to worry about this. Thank you for your help.
