When creating a subdomain in cpanel. It usually does not work instantly. I have searched the forums, and several people have said it does activate instantly.

I create the subdomain by going into cpanel, creating a subdomain and then create an ftp user with the same name as the subdomain. Now I can goto to see the subdomain but when I try going to it does not display.

Now after maybe.. 24hours or so the subdomain starts working. What could cause this and what is the real answer? Does it take this long to "resolve" or is there something wrong with my installation?

    WHM 9.4.0 cPanel 9.4.1-S65

    Any help is appreciated.

Most likely all is ok. To check, create a subdomain using cPanel and then go to WHM and check the zone records to ensure it's correct. If it is go to your shell and use the dig command for the subdomain, and it should reply with the correct A record. If all of this works, then most likely it's an issue with the zone cache of the ISP your using. All this means is that the ISP doesn't update very often.
