This happened for me and they eventually started working after about a day and a half. Usually they are instant though.

I am having the same problem. I found that when i add a subdomain it isnt added to the dns zone so i have to add it manually for it to work but I tried doing it in WHM but that didnt work either it gives me a error so i have to ssh to my box and edit it that way then it works perfectly fine

    Sub Domains Intermittent

One day the sub-domains created in CPanel work.
The next day they don't work.
    etc etc.
There seems to be no reason for this.

Somebody needs to fix this as it seems to be a pretty nasty bug.

Heh, I can't help any of you with most of the sub-domain problems but just incase some of you may be doing this, I will atleast tell you this much. If your creating an ftp account with a sub-domain, you need to create the sub-domain befor you create anything else. Sub-domain first then comes the ftp access, if you create the ftp account prior to the sub-domain it wont work and probably will never work trying with the same name even after completly removing all traces of it. I don't know why this works like this but after figuring this out, I have never had a problem with a sub-domain. Hope this helps
    good luck..

I have these problems already for a long time. Creating a subdomein sometimes takes some hours to be known.

In the end they are all known, it just takes long sometimes!

    Sub Domain Errors

Yes. I'm aware of the delay involved.
However, my problem is that they work some days and other days they don't.

For instance, yesterday they were fine on one domain and today they aren't. They are still listed, but they no longer can be pulled up via browser i.e. subdomain.mydomain.com
just doesn't work today. this happened a few days ago too.

    Hi,

We're having the problem too, they were working fine one minuite and not the next.

Have tried removing and recreating them, restarting bind but still no joy!!

DNS Zones are set to pretty long times for refresh/expire so....
Webmin lets you micromanage your other stuff that you can't do through Cpanel AND Shell.
