    Hi there,

    I have installed a Wildcard SSL cert to my Cpanel server for *.tldomain.com
    It works fine.

    When I add a subdomain sub.tldomain.com
    there is no entry made to httpd.conf to incorporate SSL

    so i end up going to https://sub.tldomain.com/sub/

    I have been told not to edit httpd.conf manually.

    THE QUESTIONS ARE:

    1. Is there is a setting somewhere in WHM that forces an entry for port 443

    2. Can it add the SSL Engine ON lines as shown below to each subdomain vhost.

    Code:
    <VirtualHost 80.93.23.101:443>
        ServerName sub.tldomain.com
        ServerAlias www.sub.tldomain.com
        DocumentRoot /home/user/public_html/sub
        ServerAdmin webmaster@sub.tldomain.com
        UseCanonicalName On
        CustomLog /usr/local/apache/domlogs/sub.tldomain.com combined
        CustomLog /usr/local/apache/domlogs/sub.tldomain.com-bytes_log "%{%s}t %I .\n%{%s}t %O ."

    lots of other lines in here...

        </IfModule>
        ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /home/user/public_html/sub/cgi-bin/

    SSLEngine on

        SSLCertificateFile /etc/ssl/certs/*.tldomain.com.crt
        SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/ssl/private/*.tldomain.com.key
    	SSLCACertificateFile /etc/ssl/certs/*.tldomain.com.cabundle
        CustomLog /usr/local/apache/domlogs/*.tldomain.com-ssl_log combined
        SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE.*" nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown
        <Directory "/home/user/public_html/cgi-bin">
            SSLOptions +StdEnvVars
        </Directory>

    I barely understand the above and I am copying settings from previously installed domains using SSL by our Server ADMINs which work.

    Anybody able to shed some light on this?
