Hello,

I've set up a subdomain thru cPanel, and my assumption was that this creates an entry in the .htaccess file that contains the info about what dir to use for document root, etc.

While this subdomain is working, I am not able to see the expected lines in the .htaccess file. What am i doing wrong? Is the config info for the subdomain stored elsewhere?

Subdomains, much like parked and addon domains, are configured directly in the httpd.conf file (/usr/local/apache/conf/).

thanks - that odd, because I recall seeing things like that set up in my htaccess files in the past. Has this changed recently?
