I have used many free webservers to setup nice accounts such as www.geocites.com/whatever or whatever.freewebhost.com. I have a webhosting account now using cpanel and I was wondering how to do this on my server. I can setup a subdomain but it does not give it a cpanel of its own that I can tell. What is the best way to setup a free account on my own domain that has the ability to work with its own files, but only its own files like those other webservers have?

Just create an account for the subdomain in WHM.
