subdomains

    Hi there,

    I have a subdomain set up in my cpanel. I can view my images at http://mydomain/folder successfully, but when i view at http://folder.mydomain, i am unable to view my images, rest is ok.
    any help would be appreicated.

    Sounds like your images are being linked to relatively and are not properly placed for that.

    maybe you're set up like this:

    images are in public_html/images

    your links are like this:

    img src="../images/image.jpg"

    That would work as a subdirectory, but not a subdomain because the subdomain does not have a lower level images directory.

    Dear Mike,

    Thanx for ur time in helping me out.

    My images are in public_html/images/images.jpg

    My link is like this:

    img src="images/image.jpg"

    You mean a subdirectory and subdomain are different. How do i make work it out.

    any help would be highly appreciated.

    cPanel Access Level:
    DataCenter Provider
    In order for them to work for both subdirectory and subdomain you need to have it like so,

    Images in public_html/sub/images/images.jpg

    Link is like this:

    img src="images/image.jpg"

    This should work fro both ways.
