    I am confused.

I can create accounts no problem in WHM. However, it takes hours for them to become active. Sometimes up to 2 days maybe. Now, I use the same setup with a reseller and the subdomains are activated immediately. Anyone able to shed light on this one?

Sounds like DNS propagation to me...

Domains can take up to three days for their dns info to fully propagate throughout the internet... subdomains are part of the main domains dns, which gets looked up on the fly so they should be active pretty much immediately.

Ok. I was given a fix for this, which also enables new accounts to be activated immediately. However, most of the subdomains do not work. They will for a while, then stop. Then they will work again and the ones working all the time go off line "site.site.com cannot be found. Please check your spelling and try again". What works for me does not work for others and visa versa. I have been to support and they said that they all work fine. I do know that the main one is not working because my email on Outlook Express keeps failing.

Tests show that it is working as noted below.

Keep also in mind if your using a nameserver that does not get updated properly (ie hosted elsewhere and not sync'd) you will get the working/not working issue.

We've added the wildcard back to the DNS as it was removed and the test results above do show it is working through apache for both real and fake subdomains.

Dnsreport.com also reports that your second nameserver is not working as it is not configured properly to be used. The nameservers at the registrar MUST match the nameservers listed in the zone file (and be valid ones) in order to avoid dns issues.
