    Hi Folks,

Wonder if someone could point me in the right direction to resolve this issue.

https pages are giving a 500 internal server error.

If i change the php handler to cgi they display but then I have other issues with the cart area in whmcs.

    I have ran: /srcipts/chownpublichtmls

The last few lines of the logs show:

    Code:
SoftException in Application.cpp:422: Mismatch between target UID (99) and UID (503) of file "/home/adminroo/public_html/clients/cart.php", referer: http://lmas-networks.com/
Have done some googling and searcing here but cant find anything that directly matches the issue I am having specificaly on https pages.

    little help?

What are the permissions of that file? (using that one file as an example) SuPHP requires different permissions of files and folders. 644, 755.

If that's all set, try renaming your htaccess in that directory for just a moment (disabling it from being read) to see if that's causing the problems.

    Hi Infopro,

    Thanks for replying so fast.

    -rw-r--r-- 1 adminroo adminroo 79998 Jul 28 13:07 cart.php

I renamed the htaccess and tried again it did not make any difference

I'm only guessing of course, but looking at that error message again:

This sounds to me like a configuration issue of some sort with WHMCS, not a problem with your cPanel server.

The SSL certificate was probably installed as the incorrect user (nobody=99), so when you try to pull up a page, it sees a mismatch. You need to re-install the SSL cert using that specific users account name.

    Thanks ChrisRHS,

I double checked the cert it is installed as the right user. I assume I would also have problems with having cgi as my php handler if it was installed as the wrong user?

Do you have this SSL certificate setup as shared?

    Hi ChrisRHS,

Nope I dont have it set up as shared, just reissued then reinstalled the cert again anyway just to double rule out that.

    Still have the same issue:

    Code:
SoftException in Application.cpp:422: Mismatch between target UID (99) and UID (503) of file "/home/adminroo/public_html/clients/cart.php", referer: http://lmas-networks.com/
Think I should just raise a support ticket?

I could chown -R nobody.nobody so the UID matches what it seems to want but not sure what other effects that could have.

    quick update:

    ran /usr/local/cpanel/bin/rebuild_phpconf 5 none dso 1

that displays the pages but the same problem as using php as the handler the cart does not function correctly.

    stat cart.php:

    Access: (0644/-rw-r--r--) Uid: ( 503/adminroo) Gid: ( 500/adminroo)
    Access: 2010-08-06 16:46:43.000000000 +0100
    Modify: 2010-07-28 13:07:40.000000000 +0100

Please do not perform a recursive ownership change to user and group nobody; this is not necessary and may escalate the difficulty being experienced by increasing the complexity of the issue while attempting to investigate and form an accurate diagnosis.

As you suggested, please submit a support request so that we may assist with inspecting the precise circumstances involved. When available, please send me a PM that includes a link to this thread and the ticket ID number of your support request so that we may follow-up internally.

Optionally, you may include in the ticket subject/title "Attn Don" and I'll be happy to look at the issue and assist directly; subsequently, to the benefit of anyone else with a similar issue, upon final resolution I can then reply in the forums to assist with sharing pertinent but non-sensitive details from the corrective measures that are utilized.
