Do we have any official word that it's coming out, or just speculation?

For one, updated packages... keeping up with updates let you stay more secure.

Also, 9.0 introduces a lot more new features... that's probably why they jumped straight away to a new major version.

I know hdparm has a lot more parameters than I remember in previous versions.

I have a RedHat 9.0 server and just don't think I should have it restored back to 8.0. :(

I tried it and doesn't seem to fully work for me. WHM/CPanel are both accessible, but they don't do much... seems like it may be some 8.0 specified RPM's, etc. were installed with this ver. of CPanel.

    Any luck with yours?

Here's one thing I noticed different...

Can't find distro version at /scripts/fileversion.pl line 12.

You get that when running install?

I'm trying to reinstall... Apache is completely b0rked and easyapache isn't fixing it. I'll have to work at it again when I get back...

Think you could email me an rpm -qa?

Another thing... my default Perl install was messed up. Had to compile it myself rather than RedHat RPM's. Did you have this problem with 9.0? Not related to CPanel, but troublesome nonetheless...
