suspend account ?? still pop access??

I just suspended an account and it looks like they still have pop access. They seem to be using the mail. I notice empty inbox files and inbox.pop files written after the suspend date and time. This happens to be a IP account. Does anyone know how to fix this? I notice when I un-suspend / re-suspend again the directories for that account get changed . &d-wxrw--wt& but mail folder stays the same. This client looks at his web site once a year and ports 300MB of mail a month and doesn't even know he is suspended.

Never thought someone would care about mail.. The idea is you don't lose your mail while your site is suspended, however if you are just using mail it really doesn't do you much good.. submit a feature req and I'll have something for you later tonight.

ungzip it
install in /usr/local/cpanel/bin
chmod 700 /usr/local/cpanel/bin/cppop
killall -9 cppop
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/cppop

If its to your satisfaction, I'll put it out in the next stable build.

This is a modified version that checks for

/var/cpanel/suspended/&user&

You'll need to rsync to get the new suspend scripts that create that file.

One quick question .. .will the mail still be delivered? reason I ask... my situation in 99% for non-payers and almost all that I suspend take a few weeks to notice their site is down. What would be great is if the mail will still be delivered but all pop access for getting mail was halted as well as webmail.?? is that what this version will do or will it bounce mail as well?

Its just going to stop pop .. let me know if webmail works or not ...

I've merged that new cppop into the stable tree so you shouldn't have to worry about it going away after a cpanel update..

Installed it ..don't see a difference. I restarted cppoper .. thing is the default email account always would stop pop access after a account was suspended. It's the added accounts that are still working. You did say I needed to update backend scripts right? BTW I did suspend one of mine to test and cycled it a few times. What am I doing wrong man?

Hey Nick ...I went ahead and grabbed build 61 and it works for default accounts but not added mail accounts. What else do I need to do? By the way I really apreachate this and for that matter all you hard work lately man

Hey Nick ..this one is driving me crazy now. I know that suspend works on domains I have tested that I use .. but one of these account still gets pop access. I see mail go in the inbox and 10 minutes later 0bytes and a new timestamp on inbox.pop and inbox. They are listed in the /var/cpanel/suspended but the file size on those is 0 in there ... should that file contain something ..the files in /var/cpanel/suspended?

I would like to have this feature also. I want to suspend the website as well as email access through pop (webmail too if possible but not a nessecary). This would be awsome! Please let me know if anyone can help me. JJ
