Then will CPanel also unsuspend that address/account, or is that left to the server admin? For example: If an hourly email limit for a domain is set to 250, and the domain exceeds that limit, will CPanel unsuspend the domain should the emails drop below 250?

Hello @quanin,

The hourly limit for emails being sent ha two values - the limit value, and the time. Using your example, once that account sends that 251st message, it will start to fail and will not work again until the next hour, since that account has already exceeded their limit for the entire hour. Once the next hour starts, that account can then send 250 messages again before it would be locked. The admin of the system doesn't need to do anything to remove that lock as it will happen automatically once the hour expires.

More documentation on these limits can be found here: https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/CKB/How+to+Set+Email+Send+Limits

If you have any other questions on this, just ask!

So after that hour then, should CPanel remove the outgoing mail hold? As in, should I stop seeing messages in the log like:
2019-10-08 15:55:52.777 [17077] 1iHA5w-0005Yx-RF == [email protected] R=enforce_mail_permissions defer (-1): "Domain example.com has an outgoing mail hold. Message will be reattempted later"

Will I need to do anything to kill that error message? Or will cPanel do so for me after the hour?
