When I suspend a user (and I'm assuming also when a user is auto-suspended), they're able to access their cPanel, but not able to access anything else.

For example, I wrote a little script that checks /etc/shadow so I can authenticate users for a Members section I wrote for my site. When I suspend a user, they're still able to access their cPanel but not my Members section. When I unsuspend them, their ability to enter my Members' section returns.

I presume this is due to WHM changing their system password, but if that is the case, how are they authenticated for cPanel? Is there another password file that is checked?

    Thanks,
    Jay

They should not be able to access anything once they are suspended.

If you require further assistance with this, drop us an e-mail.

I just suspended a test account on my box and they were able to access cPanel with no problems.
