My main site is on a dedicated.

I purchased a VPS as backup from a provider I find reputable.
On my initial backup, I used the WHM tool to copy my most important sites to the VPS, which took about an hour and a half.

My question: Is there a quicker way to do this, or "sync" them? Presently, the database on the VPS is several weeks out of date, which is fine... until the dedicated server crashes..

Both sites use the same version(s) of cpanel, Apache, etc. etc. except the VPS has a newer version of Centos.

I'm trying to understand how you have backups currently configured. Are you currently set for local backups, then you manually move that to the other server or are you currently set for remote backups?
