syslogd vs rsyslogd

    on cpanel servers, which one is better syslogd or rsyslogd? on Service Manager page it's said that rsyslod is "Enhanced System Logger Daemon" does it means it's better than syslogd?

    do they can be use interchangeably?

    Hello :)

    Newer versions of CentOS and RHEL use rsyslogd as the default system log tool. I suggest using the default log tool that came with your OS unless you are experiencing problems with it.
