Hi there, we've been getting the following error message recently:

"The system failed to acquire a signed certificate from the cPanel Store because of the following error: The system failed to acquire a signed certificate from the cPanel Store."

Our host linked us to your article here and suggested we try upgrading from 98.0.13 to RELEASE 100.0.5. We upgraded and are currently on this version, however we are continuing to get the SSL certificate warning email.

Can anyone kindly assist? We need to have this resolved by 16 December since that's when the certificate expires and should auto-renew.

Thanks so much!

Would you be able to use the link in my signature to open a ticket so we can confirm the exact issue? If you can't, your web hosting provider likely can on your behalf.

Same, on all our cpanel servers some/all certs fail to renew. If we do WHM > SSL/TLS > Manage AutoSSL > Run AutoSSL for all users, it works and renews the relevant certificates. Same if we run /usr/local/cpanel/bin/autossl_check --all . So I'll probably just add the above command to a daily cron for now until this is resolved.

I'm having the exact same problem on two of my servers.

The cPanel certificate is due for renewal on one and has expired on the other. The error message just repeats the error so there's no way for be to diagnose what the issue is to resolve it.

I'd love to know if there is a way to find out exactly why the certificate renewal is failing as we're completely stuck and our provider is refusing to help unless we pay for support - but this seems to be a cPanel software problem.

Would your provider be willing to open a cPanel ticket? Also, is the issue still persisting now?

Hello,

I'm having the exact same problem on one of two my servers.
Last week, we upgraded servers from 98.0.13 to stable 100.0.5.

What do you recommend whether you should wait for a new version where this problem would be solved or the problem is urgent?

Thank you!

Best regards,
Elizabeta

Same problem here after upgrading to 100.0.5. Certificates are expiring and not being renewed. They're in the queue and my cPanel is getting error 500 from store.cpanel.net so it just fails over and over again, been waiting for approx. 1 hour but one of the cert is past expiration date for almost 48 hours now and the customer is cancelling on me because of this frustrating AutoSSL issue. Why the 2 cPanel price hikes in a year if the service is going down?

Hello, everyone! Due to the numerous AutoSSL issues and the fact that it could be due to a variety of factors on any given host, opening a ticket using the link in my signature so cPanel can investigate would be advised. If you are unable to do so, your web hosting provider can open one on your behalf.
