system monitor (remember that...)

    I wanted to know what the system was that use to be on cpanel machines that monitored ports etc....and at the end of the
    day you would get a 20 mb email in your box.....

    i would like to reinstall that or reactivate it on our severs since it
    seems it since been disabled or no longer an option on cpanel machines

    although annoying, it was a great tool to have in terms of security

    I recently changed my ipchains list, and &back in the ole days& it was plump full of rejects etc...I checked today and it only has 2 entires, which are what i created, so it seems thats not the case for my servers :(

    I take it was portsentry that is the program that is responsible for the emails?

    I think it was logcheck actually.. Heck, i just noticed we haven't been getting those emails.. not that I am complaining though.
