Seems like this problem is faced by others too and I am struggling with the same :). Can not use the proposed solution as the script is deprecated. Some help would be appreciated. Meanwhile I am trying to find a resolution and will share if I can make it.

@Dwarika Tripathy - the details posted are still valid, even though the script no longer exists. I just do the following as the last two lines are unnecessary, and I update the commands to use zero for the day field, meaning it will remove all entries up to the current point in time:

Code:
/usr/sbin/exim_tidydb -t 0d /var/spool/exim retry > /dev/null
/usr/sbin/exim_tidydb -t 0d /var/spool/exim reject > /dev/null
/usr/sbin/exim_tidydb -t 0d /var/spool/exim wait-remote_smtp > /dev/null
If you run that, and continue to experience the issues, there are likely DNS problems that need to be investigated.
