    Hello,

I am trying to move accounts between servers and i am having this error message. My password is 100% correct? What is wrong? I am connected with other servers fine, i have transfered from others. What must I check? The source server is Cloudlinux 6.10, with WHM 74.0.9 - destination server is Centos 7.5 with WHM 74.0.9

    The message is:

The remote basic credential check failed due to an error (The password that you provided is not correct, or the SSH key is not permitted access: Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic).) and response: Connecting to X.X.X.X:-- as root...using method password...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

You need to check if you are able to connect to the other server via SSH first. Check if the connection between both of them works properly. Check if you have disabled direct root access..

Thank you very much for your kind reply.

I tried to connect to the source via SSH using Putty, not connected and got the same error "publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic". How can I procced?

    Hi @Alfastar

It sounds like (if you're 110% sure your password is correct) you've been blocked on the server. You'll need to check the firewall as well as cPHulk if you're using. I'd suggest whitelisting your IP address until this process is complete.

    Thanks!
