    Hi everyone,

I recently moved from a cpanel sharing hosting account to VPS using Virtuozzo Power Panel, WHM and cPanel.
On the VPS I have setup a cPanel Account for the main website and moved the entire home directory over and created an cPanel account - website is working fully now.
Since the moving of that account over I have also create another cPanel account for a new website that I have setup.
Both websites have a very similar setup - ie both run Joomla 1.5 CMS, same cpaddons, same plugins and features.
The only real difference is the new site has a Photo and Video Gallery but almost everything else is the same.

Ok so my question is the moved home/username/ directory seems to have extra folders/files under it which I am pretty sure are no longer needed since they don't appear in the new websites home/username/ directory.
The files and folders that seem to be extra ones are:

    Files and Modified Date:
    .bash_logout - 18months ago
    .bash_profile - as above
    .bashrc - as above
    .canna - as above
    .emacs - as above
    .filter - as above
    .ftpquota - as above
.my.cnf - modified 4 days after move but sure I updated main my.cnf since then
    .pearrc - 18 months ago
    .zshrc - as above
    configuration.php - as above

    Folders and Modified Date:
    .entropybanner - 18 months ago
    .fontconfig - as above
    .gem - as above
    .gnugp - as above
.spamassassin - 3 months before move
.sqmaildata - 3 months before move
bin - 1 month before move
perl - 5 days after move but nothing in folder
php - 1 month before move
ruby - 13 months before move
ssl - 18 months before move

Am I safe to delete all of the above folders/files since they don't appear to be in use at all anymore now I am on VPS?

Any help would be great since I am trying to tidy up the VPS a little.

    cPanel Access Level:
    DataCenter Provider
All the files beginnging in a dot '.' are configuration files for various applications (emacs [text editor], bash [user shell], my.cnf [mysql], etc.). Deleting them wil remove any custom configurations that had been made. Also, I would not suggest deleting the .bash* files unless this user has shell access disabled.

configuration.php -- sounds like it's a backup copy of a configuration file for a PHP app.

    Folders and Modified Date:
    .entropybanner - 18 months ago
    .fontconfig - as above
    .gem - as above
    .gnugp - as above

-- Misc app configs, can be removed.

.spamassassin - 3 months before move
.sqmaildata - 3 months before move

    -- cPanel configurations, leave them.

bin - 1 month before move
perl - 5 days after move but nothing in folder
php - 1 month before move
ruby - 13 months before move

-- All of these: hard to say, but leave them to be safe

ssl - 18 months before move

-- User SSL certificate data store
