/tmp cpanel script support question

    Hi All,

    Does cpanel provide any script that will avoid running any script in /tmp direcotory,

    if there is any let me know.

    What I am wondering is, is any scripts in /scripts direcotory?

    If you read the changelog you will see it. Search for the word "securetmp"

    Yes, can anyone explain what exactly /scripts/securetmp* does.

    securetmp creates a filesystem in a file so to speak. For those who do not have a parition for the /tmp directory. The advantages of this is that you can now set the partition to noexec so that users can not execute files that are in /tmp.

    This isn't perfect, but it's a good speedbump.
