    Hello

I have a dual Xeon dedicated server running WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-R15 . Can anyone help me with the following:

    1. There are some articles on RBLs but I only want to set EXIM configuration to bounce messages from people blacklisted in:

    For open relay: http://www.ordb.org
    For spam sources http://www.spamhaus.org

How to do this without preventing local domains from sending out mails?

    2. Exim stats shows the following. What is **bypassed**?

    Deliveries by transport
    -----------------------
    Volume Messages
    **bypassed** 72MB 7044
    :blackhole: 8213KB 682
    boxtrapper_autowhitelist 67MB 773
    local_delivery 12KB 2
    local_sa_delivery 54KB 3
    mailman_virtual_transport 1911 1
    remote_smtp 172MB 2456
    virtual_address_pipe 48KB 3
    virtual_sa_userdelivery 406MB 12351
    virtual_userdelivery 417MB 7432

    Thanks

I found this (modified) article on the net. Will it work for Question 1 in my post above?

Any ideas for Question 2 above?

    1. Go to WHM and select Exim Configuration Editor
    2. Click on Switch to Advanced Mode
    3. Find where there are 3 entry boxes in a row, go into the middle one that already has text in it
    4. Right after the statement "accept hosts = :", add the following:

    drop dnslists = sbl.spamhaus.org : \
    list.dsbl.org \
    relays.ordb.org \

    message = REJECTED - Host $sender_host_address is listed in $dnslist_domain=$dnslist_value - $dnslist_text
    log_message = match $dnslist_domain

    5. Click Save

    6. Send a test mail (from your server's SMTP) to nelson-sbl-test@crynwr.com and wait for it to send test results.

    7. Monitor /var/log/exim_rejectlog to see whats actually being rejected.

    It works perfectly for me!
I have a 300 domains cpanel server, and I can see now nearly one message every 10 o 15 seconds rejected, using:
    cat /var/log/exim_rejectlog |grep ": match "

You have explain perfectly the installation in whm, thanks a lot.

However, I can read in spamhaus:
We recommend you use sbl.spamhaus.org together with xbl.spamhaus.org, as the SBL and XBL block different spam sources. To save you having to query two separate DNSBL zones there is a special combined "SBL+XBL" zone, sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org, which contains the complete SBL and XBL data (we recommend you use this combined zone), to use it, simply set your mail server's DNSBL check to query sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org only.

    I'll try it now.
    Greetings from Spain.
