ok, my distributor took DAYS to respond and tell me they would not help configur tomcat4 to run with tomcat 3...not even for a fee.

Anyone want to help me out with this? Just email me your rate.

Why do you want to run both versions at the same time?

We run a E-Commerce product called StoreSense on that server and that is the only user of Tomcat3 and it will not work with 4.

Since this will be a limited user server (no more than 20) we will permit CP's tomcat deployment as well.

You can definitely have both running at the same time. I have v4 installed using the cpanel tar at layer1 and v3 installed separately for a web design application operating on a different port as a stand-alone server. Stand-alone meaning not installed as an apache dso. They are happily living together!
