    I just cleared my old tomcat install and tried the beta install from cpanel.

    All of the JSp pages now get the following error:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

    This is usually caused by an improper classpath and java home but env shows:

    JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk
    JAKARTA_HOME=/usr/local/jakarta

    Tomcat starts up without any errors.

    Is there something else that I should be looking at?

    Thanks!

    I'd look at removing and going back to your old install. There are plenty of threads you will find in regards to the cPanel tomcat installer not working especially if you had a previous tomcat install.

    Amazing indeed...

    I got the new add on installer to work for all of my servers but one. When talking to a Cpanel tech he said "I did a test on 5 different machines and not a single on had the issue". Sadly, I did the same thing, but the problem was not on these other servers, it was on the one he did/would not look at...

    Lucky for me it is hte one server where no folks have JSP, so I can take my time with it...
