We see tons of entries like this in our general access logs ( /usr/local/apache/logs/access_log ):

    66.216.126.30 - - [26/Mar/2009:07:30:49 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 532
    66.216.126.30 - - [26/Mar/2009:07:40:44 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 532
    66.216.126.30 - - [26/Mar/2009:07:50:56 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 532
    66.216.126.30 - - [26/Mar/2009:08:00:49 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 532

Different IPs are involved, but does anyone know what may be going on here?

That IP belongs to a website monitoring service (type in your browser's address bar). Are you using any script/service they provide?

You would have GETs with 200 response in general log when someone types one of your IPs directly in their browser. The index file from /usr/local/apache/htdocs is served. You can alter this behaviour if you like, depending on how you are using you server.
