Total newbie to cpanel optimised 3

MY Dad thought it would be a good idea to give me the job of updating and maintaining his website.
In order to not disappoint him, I didn't tell him I had no idea how to use Cpanel Optimised 3.
So you understand, I am not totally computer stupid, however this system totally stumps me.
If you could help me even understand how to edit pages, add things like html code, etc
or even direct me to some help pages - I would be very grateful

cPanel User Guide - cPanel Documentation

In the Files section of the docs is this area on using the File Manager:
File Manager - cPanel Documentation

Your website goes in the public_html directory.

In your cPanel you'll also find a link to Video Tutorials that should prove useful.
